We have lowered our prices (again)
If you are regularly visiting our online store, you might have noticed that most of our products have undergone a price reduction as of this week.
The prices for our barefoot shoes have dropped significantly, while at the same time, we now charge for shipping. For the huge majority of customers, this results in a lower total price per order even if you take the additional shipping costs into account.
We are very excited about this change to our pricing structure as not only does it make things easier and more transparent, we are also thrilled about those lower prices supporting our mission of making barefoot shoes available and appealing to more people.
Why did we make this change?
As you might know, one of our core values at Feelgrounds is to improve our products and services continuously. This also includes offering the best prices possible.
We at Feelgrounds started out with a mixed-price calculation when deciding on fair prices for our barefoot shoes. So far, our approach was trying to offer the same price for a pair of our shoes independent of the customer’s shipping location.
In order to be able to do that, we tried to include all of the costs involved (e.g. shipping, VAT,...) in the product’s final end price. However, these costs vary greatly depending on the customer’s location and this approach got more and more complicated the more we grew and the more products we added.
Therefore, we have now decided on a more transparent approach.
What does that mean for you as a customer?
Our new pricing better reflects the actual costs depending on shipping location. As already mentioned in the beginning, most customers now pay less than before for the same purchase.
On average, customers profit from a total price drop of about 10% (shipping costs included) when buying a pair of our shoes. The price cut is even more significant when buying two pairs or more with average savings of about 20%.
For Europe-based customers, whose countries are not part of the EU (excluding the UK), the product price visible in the online store will be further reduced at checkout because of the not applicable VAT. Customers from those countries need to proceed to checkout to see the final prices.
To our customers from the EU, the product prices in our online store are displayed including the correct VAT rate. Because of new EU regulations that came into effect in July 2021, we now have to charge and transfer the VAT rate of the country to which we send the product. Therefore, the product prices in our store vary slightly depending on the shipping location, as the VAT rates differ from country to country.
The shipping costs will be calculated and added during checkout.
We still offer our 30 day return policy
In the case of a return, we differentiate between two possible scenarios. If you decide to keep none of the ordered products, we will refund the standard shipping costs along with the value of the returned product(s). If you go for a partial return, the shipping costs will not be refunded. In both cases, you will have to cover the return shipping cost. If you want to exchange for another size or color, please place a new order in our online store and return the product to us.
More shipping options available
We are continuously working on expanding and improving our shipping carriers, rates, and lead times. Now that the back-end handling is a lot easier for us, we can offer more choices when it comes to shipping.
We have just added new shipping options and now offer express shipping to countries that were temporarily excluded from our available shipping locations.
